I think what the ban is trying to do is make our society healthier. If you insist on eating food that still has salt and tons of sodium, then go home and make it. Are you really going to fight a ban that is meant to improve your health? Seems kind o…

Soy butter vs. Sunflower butter

I have had apple butter before but I remember it being more like a jelly than a peanut butter. Is there a verison of apple butter than is more similar to peanut butter?

kosher = pure

I'm not sure I could tell the difference between organic produce and non-organic. Maybe it is a subtle difference that can only be detected by someone with a refined palate. Growing up I remember th…

This is an interesting perspective Erick. One thing that I notice is people tend to assume that just because something is kosher, organic, etc., it automatically means that it is a higher quality pro…

Top Foodservice Trends for 2010

2009, although not yet over, has proved to be a difficult year for the foodservice industry. That is the bad news. The not so bad news is it was a difficult year for virtually all sectors. While some industries such as the automotive and financial industries saw declines in the double digits, the foodservice industry declined by less than 5%. That being said, there is glimmer of hope for 2010.

Is There Such a Thing as Good Frozen Pizza?

I'm so jealous that you got to go to Australia for 6 months! That's awesome. I've done a lot of traveling, but haven't quite made that far. I think the next place I want to go visit (again) is Brazil. I absolutely love it there. I actually looked up some jobs there at one point, but I need to brush up on my Portuguese. It's not quite as good as it used to be. :) That's so great that your job takes you overseas. I wish I could find that kind of work!
